We are thrilled to introduce our new Principal Lawyer, Jonathan Markowitz, Head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution at Align Law.
Prior to joining Align Law, Jonathan worked at a leading national law firm for a decade. Jonathan primarily conducts commercial disputes on behalf of corporate, insurer, government and private clients. He has a broad practice, with particular interest in commercial, property, leasing, insurance, construction and insolvency matters. Jonathan is experienced in litigation in all Victorian Courts, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the Federal Court of Australia. He has also advised clients in respect of disputes in New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland and international cross-border disputes, including in the United States.
Jonathan provides strategic guidance to clients to help them efficiently resolve disputes and continue to focus on business growth. He also provides risk management advice so clients can bolster their internal processes to minimise the risk of potential future litigation.
Jonathan quickly grasps his clients’ needs and commercial goals. His corporate and private clients benefit from his extensive experience representing ‘seasoned’ litigants (such as insurers and government) and his proficiency at obtaining cost effective and pragmatic resolutions to commercial disputes.
